Carol Cassada Guest Post: Westmore: Broken Ties...

Belle's Book Bag is happy to have author Carol Cassada here to talk about her latest book in the Westmore series: Westmore: Broken Ties.  I have enjoyed reading all three of these books and I look forward to reading the next one in the series. I just have to say that my favorite couple is Scott Green and Melissa!!  You can read my reviews here: Westmore, Westmore: The Aftermath and Westmore: Broken Ties.  So let's get started!!
Westmore: Broken Ties
Today I’ll be talking about my latest book Westmore: Broken Ties, it is the third volume in the Westmore series and it’s what I like to call a romance novel meets soap opera. In the newest volume, relationships between couples and families are tested. Some of them will overcome their problems, while other relationships will sadly come to an end.

So we’ll be taking a look at some of the relationships and what challenges lie ahead for them.

Alicia and Jacob:  Young realtor Jacob Reynolds became smitten with rock star Alicia Green, the first time he saw her perform. At first the singer was hesitant to enter a new relationship after having her heartbroken numerous times, however she soon caved in to Jacob’s charms and the couple have been inseparable ever since. But trouble looms for the couple in the form of Stan, Jacob’s father. He’s been against the pairing ever since the tattooed rocker stepped foot through his doors. Stan’s fury increases once Jacob and Alicia announce their engagement, and the once close-knit father-son duo is now at odds, especially when Stan gives Jacob an ultimatum: it’s either him or Alicia.

Peter, Zoey, and Jack: The Green brothers Peter and Jack were so close nothing could tear them apart, until now. When college bound Peter returned home to Westmore with his new girlfriend Zoey, whose ten years older than him, his family didn’t approve. But Zoey soon won over the family, including Peter’s older brother Jack. Zoey went to work for Jack when he opened his new bar and she helped make it a success. However, Zoey and Peter were soon drifting apart due to their age difference and busy lives. Zoey sought comfort in Jack and feelings between the two started to grow. Even though they fought hard to suppress their feelings, it didn’t last and they soon gave in to their passion, on a night when Peter catches them in the act. This incident has caused fighting between the brothers and has left Zoey and the Green family in tears. Will the brothers settle their differences? And which brother will Zoey choose?

Andrew, Caroline, and Jeff: These three siblings are part of the rich Braxton family, who made their money through book publishing. However, life wasn’t always glamorous for the brothers and their younger sister. They had to put up with an abusive father Clayton and the untimely death of their mother Alexis. After the demise of their mother the siblings had a falling out due to Caroline’s accusations that Clayton murdered their mother, which the boys didn’t believe. Twenty years pass without the siblings speaking. But after Caroline suffers the loss of her husband she reaches out to her brothers. However, old wounds still exist and one brother’s secret about the real cause of their mother’s death threatens to destroy them once again.

Whose relationship will survive and whose will come to end? If you’re intrigued pick up a copy of Westmore: Broken Ties to find out.

Here is a little bit more background information on the families in the Westmore series:
The series revolves around three families: The Greens, The Braxtons, and The Reynolds.
The Greens:
* Widowed matriarch Charlotte never thought she could find love again after the death of her husband Michael, until handsome Detective Bryant comes to her rescue.
* Youngest son Peter returns home from college with his new girlfriend, who's ten years older than him, and is a problem for Mama Charlotte.
* Scott and Alicia are singing siblings who are on their way to the top, until tragedy strikes one night.
The Braxtons:
* Andrew Braxton is a ruthless and powerful businessman who runs his household the same way he runs his company, with an iron fist. Upon learning his son Wayne plans on abandoning the family company, he'll do everything in his heart to stop him from leaving.
The Reynolds:
* After the divorce Laura Reynolds and her daughter Megan move back home with her father, where she plans to start life anew, but little does she know that it's not easy to escape your past.

Westmore (Volume 1)Westmore: The Aftermath

About Carol:
I'm just a young woman from the small town of Ringgold, VA who's living her dream of being a writer.
In December 2008 I started my first book Going Home Again, which was released February 24, 2010  by Romance Divine. I can't tell you how wonderful it felt, to have my work published was a dream come true.
Now my second book Westmore, the first in a line of volumes is about to be released. This time I went the self publishing route with Createspace. I'm currently working on Volume 2 of Westmore and hope to have it out by the end of the year.
Aside from my love of reading and writing, I enjoy spending time with my supportive parents, my two brother who love to tease me, and my three dogs and two cats.
