Blog Tour & Giveaway: Wild About Her Wingman by Robin Bielman...

Playing it safe never felt so risky.

Erin Watters is her small town’s resident wild child—she doesn’t do boring, and after having her heart annihilated, she definitely doesn’t do relationships. Her friends have other ideas, though, and when they throw down a matchmaking challenge, impulsive Erin can’t ignore it. Even when the annoyingly hot Troy Strieber accepts the matchmaker role…
As a rescue paramedic, Troy’s used to watching out for people. Never mind the bet he made with his buddy to play Erin’s wingman. But the more time he spends with the sexy, charismatic woman, the more he discovers a side of her she doesn’t let many see. Soon what started as an innocent game of matchmaking has them both thinking about the person right under their nose. But Troy’s a play-it-safe guy, and he won’t let a woman who lives for risk ever steal his heart.

Review: The Will by Kristen Ashley...

20332278

Early in her life, Josephine Malone learned the hard way that there was only one person she could love and trust: her grandmother, Lydia Malone. Out of necessity, unconsciously and very successfully, Josephine donned a disguise to keep all others at bay. She led a globetrotting lifestyle on the fringes of the fashion and music elite, but she kept herself distant.
While Josephine was trotting the globe, retired boxer Jake Spear was living in the same small town as Lydia. There was nothing disguised about Jake. Including the fact he made a habit of making very bad decisions about who to give his love.
But for Josephine and Jake, there was one person who adored them. One person who knew how to lead them to happiness. And one person who was intent on doing it.
Even if she had to do it as her final wish on this earth.
I have been trying to write a review for The Will since I finished reading it two weeks ago but I am having trouble putting into words how much I absolutely adored this story along with Jake and Josie. Nothing I seem to come up with expresses my thoughts good enough.  So I have finally given up and this will just have to do for my review.

The Will is typical Kristen Ashley and I loved every freaking single minute of it. From the beginning to the end I was completely gone and I am still so wrapped up in Jake and Josie that I find I cannot let them go. Even two weeks later I am still constantly going back and rereading it. And I am not just rereading my most favorite parts, I am rereading the entire book. In the small amount of time that I've been able to pull away and read another book, as soon as I am finished I go right back to The Will. I don't think I have ever had this much trouble continuing on after finishing a book before~even one from Kristen Ashley. There is just something about this book that has grabbed me and refused to let go and the thing is that I am not complaining one little bit. I am just going to continue to bask in the awesomeness of The Will for as long as it has me under its spell.

I rated The Will as on of Belle's Book Bag's Top Pick, which is my highest rating, but I feel that that isn't even close to what it should be rated.

Thank you Kristen Ashley for so many of your wonderful books that have let me escape my everyday life and lose myself in these incredible worlds that you have created through your words and characters. And I especially want to thank you for The Will. And for Jake....lol...I think he is one of only a few or your heroes that I didn't hate before I fell for them hard. I fell instantly in love with not only Jake but with Josie also and remain that way still. And how could I not love Ethan. :)

I cannot wait for more in this series. I would love to read about Mickey and Coert and in doing so, hopefully read more of Jake and Josie. lol

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Always by Amanda Weaver...

Creating chemistry between Justine and Dillon:

One of the big challenges in writing this story was to create tangible chemistry between the two main characters when the relationship remains unrequited for most of the book. Without a traditional romance or sex to ignite the story, I focused on their friendship, imagining an emotional intimacy and creative partnership that acted as a stand-in for a romantic relationship. That’s not to say that sex never comes up! Dillon and Justine are attracted to each other from the start. It’s suppressed for a variety of reasons, but it busts loose at several key moments in the story. The question is—what do they do about it?

Title: Always
Author: Amanda Weaver
Genre: Contemporary romance-age 20-30.
Publish Date: April 15, 2014
Publisher: Independently Published

~ Book Synopsis ~
From the moment they meet, their connection is perfect in every way but one. It’s New Year’s Eve, 2006, and Justine James is fronting her dead-end band for a less-than-adoring crowd. But there’s one person there who sees what she could be—one person who changes everything for her. Dillon Pierce clawed his way up from the LA streets with no one to count on but his best friend, Ash. Their years of struggle finally pay off when their band, Outlaw Rovers, gets signed and their single takes off. With Ash as the magnetic lead singer and Dillon as the band’s musical soul, they’re destined for greatness, provided Dillon can keep Ash from self-destructing first. Dillon might not be fronting Outlaw Rovers, but he’s always been the only one Justine sees. She’s followed his career from afar and when he shows up at her crummy New Year’s Eve gig, nothing will stop her from meeting him. They forge an intense connection, rapidly moving from friends to musical soul mates. Justine wants much more, but she’s not willing to climb over groupies and industry bottom-feeders to make it happen. Dillon becomes a fixture in her life, but she has to figure out how to keep him out of her heart. Outlaw Rovers begins to implode as Justine’s star is on the rise. The years that follow bring equal parts fame and ruin. For Justine, a new love supplants her old heartbreak, and Dillon has to reboot his life after losing nearly everything that matters. Despite the odds, Dillon and Justine remain devoted friends and musical collaborators. After all the missed chances, wrong turns and painful detours, can they finally find the happiness together that seemed destined from the start?

From Chapter 3:

The steel gate clanged behind her. “Justine, wait.” Justine spun around to face Dillon. He was breathing hard from sprinting after her. “That is not what I came here for!” She stabbed a finger towards the backstage entrance. “I’m not some fucking groupie who’s happy to wait in line just to give you a blow job!” He held up both hands as he moved closer. “I know that. I know you’re not. And that’s not what I wanted from you when I asked you here.” “Right. I forgot. You wanted to talk about music.” “Yes, I did.” He stepped closer, into the pool of light from the streetlight behind her. His eyes were wide, his pupils tiny pinpricks, and he was still breathing hard, harder than he should have been from just chasing after her. He’s lit, Justine thought miserably. Could the night become any more of a cliché? “So where were we going to fit in the rock and roll? Before the sex but after the drugs?” He sighed and raked a hand through his hair. “I’m sorry. I was hanging out with Ash after the show and things got a little crazy. You know how it is.”
She laughed, short and humorless. “Yeah, I know how it is.” “Listen, I still want to hang out with you.” “I’m not waiting around until the coke wears off and the girls go home—” “Not tonight,” he cut her off. “It’s too crazy back there and I meant it when I said I want to talk to you. I do. But not here, like this.” Justine looked down at her feet while she thought about it. She was a smart girl and the smart thing to do would be to turn around and go home. But she also knew she and Dillon had something. Music, for sure. Maybe something else, too. It was the “something else” that made her nervous. She was attracted to him, she couldn’t lie to herself about it. But she didn’t want him like this, like that girl in his dressing room had him, and not if it wasn’t going to matter to him.

Excerpt

..."What are you doing?"

"You said you didn't want to talk." Sure he knew they weren't really going to have sex on his desk, but he reveled in the regret in her eyes that she couldn't hide in spite of her scowl.

"You're being outrageous."

"Good."

"Stop. Now," she said firmly.

Okay, he'd pushed her far enough for today, but he could see that while their love for each other might have burned out, their passion still had plenty of fire.

He buttoned his shirt again and tucked in the tails.  "Spoilsport."

She brushed papers into a stack. "The pilot's waiting."

"Damn waste of an empty desk," he said with a smile...
