Season for Love, Book 6 in the McCarthys of Gansett Island Series
His idea of permanence is the VW van that takes him from one gig to the next. . .
Owen Lawry has made a living as a traveling musician and enjoys his footloose and fancy free lifestyle. But after meeting Laura McCarthy and helping her to land the job as manager of his grandparents' hotel on Gansett Island, Owen decides there's something to be said about a roof over his head and a warm, sexy woman in his bed.
Laura, a newlywed who discovered that her husband never quit dating, came to Gansett for her cousin's Janey's wedding, but ended up staying after she met Owen and took on the renovations to the dilapidated Sand & Surf Hotel.
As Owen and Laura's attraction simmers during months of close proximity, they form a tight bond that will be tested when her estranged husband refuses to grant her a divorce. As summer turns to autumn and Laura and Owen take baby steps toward love, favorite characters from past Gansett Island stories continue to live their happily ever afters.
LOVED IT!!! |
Owen and Laura have such a loving story. The scenes between them have some of the most touching moments that I have read. I just love how the two of them take care of
each other. Owen is definitely a sweetie!!
I was so excited to read about Joe and Janey and I love how their personal story is progressing!!! I was shocked with Seamus and am not sure how I feel about what happened--I will have to see in other books how it goes from here. Can't wait to read Tiffany and Blaines' book and can't wait to see if Jenny, Dan, Kara, David and Slim get their HEA also.
I just can't say enough about what a great series this is and how much I enjoy each and every book and can't wait for the next. Gansett Island is definitely one of those ficitonal places that I wish was real as well as the characters!! LOL
Season For Love was HOTTER then any of the other books so far with way more SEXING going on. Marie definitely got down and dirty with a lot of her couples in this one!!! LOVED that!! LOL (just one word SEAMUS (he was smokin') LOL ;)
This story was such an enjoyable way to spend the day reading. I was immediately drawn back into the world of Gansett Island with the McCarthys and I was sad to see the book end!! Well Done Marie Force--keep them coming!!! 5 out of 5 rating
I am a HUGE fan of Marie's and can't wait to read this one. :)
