Reviewed: Blade Song by J.C. Daniels...

Blade Song
Kit Colbana—half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all trades—has a new job: track down the missing ward of one of the local alpha shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake.
So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do with the insanity that happens when you deal with shifters—especially sexy ones who come bearing promises of easy jobs and easier money.
Or maybe it’s all the other missing kids that Kit discovers while working the case, or the way her gut keeps screaming she’s gotten in over her head. Or maybe it’s because if she fails—she’s dead.
If she can stay just one step ahead, she should be okay. Maybe she’ll even live long to collect her fee…

BEST OF THE BEST !!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Blade Song!!! It was just so freaking good!!! I was interested in this book because I had seen it being compared to the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs and the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews(Two authors and series that are my absolute favorites!!) I could definitely see the comparison but Blade Song shined all on its own. WOW...This book caught me right from the beginning and thoroughly entertained me until the very end. I didn't want this story to end and I couldn't be pried away from it until I was finished reading. I cannot wait for Night Blade!!

Kit was so totally kick-ass and I just loved her character!! I hated Damon in the beginning, but he finally won me over and thank god for it because I have a thing for shifters and I wanted to like him so bad. LOL  Some great secondary characters that added to the story. Oh,Jude!!! There were definitely some things that happened that I didn't see coming and it will be interesting to see how the story continues from here in Night Blade. Of course I wouldn't be doing my review justice if I didn't mention two very important words: shower scene. ;)

Just a really great read that I will definitely be rereading. Blade Song has earned a permanent place in my keeper pile. Thank you J.C. Daniels for writing a book that was worth every second of reading and a story with characters that pulled me into a world that I was lost in and didn't want to leave!!  BEST OF THE BEST rating

  1. Great review. Never heard of this series. Sounds good with a kick$$ heroine. You know I do love a good steamy shower scene.
