Reviewed: Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvain Reynard 5 out of 5 rating...

Gabriel's Inferno (Gabriel's Inferno #1)
Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption. When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide. An intriguing and sinful exploration of seduction, forbidden love and redemption, "Gabriel's Inferno" is a captivating and wildly passionate tale of one man's escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossible...forgiveness and love.
This is the first book that I have read from Sylvain Reynard. I am finding it difficult to put my words together and write this review. The feel of this book is different than any that I have read.

I loved Gabriel and Julia. Gabriel *sigh*  He was such a complicated character and his story along with Julia's was so intense. But at the same time the things he said and did made me LOL. He was just so over the top in his pompous arrogant ass of a self that I just couldn't help but laugh. Then there was Julia who was just so shy and clumsy and sweet that I just couldn't help but like her.

Again this story had everything that I like ~ romance, love, laughter, tears, a little mystery, conflict, angst, a broken hero who feels unworthy of love, a sweet caring broken heroine set on loving him and a happy for now ending.  It was just so good.  I never though an author could make me love a man who wore a bow tie!! LOL ;)  I cannot wait to read the next book and see how their relationship progresses. I didn't want to put this book down.

Although there was only one sex scene and it was at the very end. There was so much heat between these two throughout the book that I never felt cheated.   Aww...Gabriel the things that he said to Julia and the way he took care of her and loved her just made me melt. Wow..was he ever in love her.

I was biting my nails through some of the story in regards to Simon, Paulina, and the increasing possibility of  Gabriel and Julia's relationship being outed.

5 out of 5 rating. Definitely a reread.
