Drew Haywood needs a feminine touch to help give his young son a holiday to remember—and no one does Christmas better than Taylor Bishop. She knows how to transform a house into a home that sparkles. But when Drew lets his guard down, he finds that Taylor has much more to offer. Kissing her is like coming in out of the cold—and Drew doesn’t want to go back out.
Taylor has already raised one family—she grew up with six brothers, after all—and she doesn’t need another. She may have fallen for Drew as a teenager, but he’s asking for a Christmas miracle that would break all her rules. Still, the chemistry she shares with this sexy, single father has nothing to do with the past. Perhaps the gift of a young boy’s smile, not to mention stolen kisses beneath the mistletoe, will point the way to the one thing on Taylor’s wish list.

Doc Holiday was the perfect Christmas read, in fact it was a perfect after Christmas read as well! Just a heart~warming, fun, well written, emotional story that I enjoyed so much! I loved the concept of the story in that Drew asked Taylor for help in creating a Christmas for his son that he always wished he had and never did.
I was totally drawn into the story from the beginning. I loved Taylor and Drew but the character that I most enjoyed was definitely Noah. Oh..I just loved him!! I wanted to reach through the book and wrap him up in my arms so many times!! The scenes that stuck in my mind the most after I finished reading were the gingerbread decorating (my heart hurt during this scene for both Noah and Drew!!), the parade float where Noah donated his bear (I had tears in my eyes reading this part!!), picking out the Christmas tree, Noah's red boots and the scene where Noah told Drew that he asked Santa for Taylor to be his mommy for Christmas...so good!! Oh..and I especially LOVED LOVED LOVED the ending...I just wished that there was more to the story after Drew and Taylor got together as a couple because they were so cute together and I would have loved to have seen them all further into their relationship as a family.
I loved Drew's character and how he never gave up on Taylor even though she kept pushing him away. I love that he saw in her the need to be taken care of because she took care of everyone else but no one took care of her. Oh...and I loved that he fell in love with her when she was only 16 but he couldn't show it because he was way to old for her at the time and she had no idea of his feelings for her. I also loved how he teased her and called her Mouse~so cute!! I love how he was able to catch Taylor so off guard all the time because he knew what she was thinking and how she would react to certain things that he did. He was so sneaky but in a totally fun and loving way!! I also loved that it was so important for Drew to be a good dad and give Noah all the things that he never had as a kid, especially emotionally. Taylor was another great character. She was so afraid to love them but she just couldn't help herself. She was so calm and reassuring to both Noah and Drew. She was so sweet and funny and I loved that she knew exactly the right things to say and do for Noah and Drew.
A great entertaining read full of love and tears that left me smiling at the end. Oh..and the sex was pretty HOT also!! ;) Definitely a keeper to be reread and not just at Christmas!! This was my first read from Debra Dixon and I look forward to more from her.
5 out of 5 rating!!
