Why I Love Halloween!
by BK Walker

In a dark room, the only sound is the wind outside and the occasional bump of a branch hitting the siding of the  house. *holdflashlightinface* She was all alone in the house. Every creak of the floor sounded like footsteps, and she buried her head under the covers...

BOO!

Okay, that was juvenile, but hey! That's what Halloween's all about, isn't it? I LOVE Halloween! It happens to be my favorite holiday and I just get thrilled with decorating, taking drives across the countryside and seeing what other people have put out for decorations *SQUEE*!! Pictures! I love taking pictures this time of year too!

I just love it! It's so much fun.

Pumpkins, Fall colors, the oranges, greens, yellows and reds. Even though it's still pretty warm outside, the drives are gorgeous. It's time for Fall cooking - fried potatoes with apples & onions, chili, stews, apple crisp & even pumpkin pie!

I get so excited every year when Halloween rolls around, and I just look forward to what each new season brings and all the costumes by the kids in town!

Every Halloween, a new story brews inside of me. It's so inspiring, and since I write Paranormal Romance mostly, it's the best time of year for me to get my creative juices flowing. Last year I came out with Immortyl Kisses, this year? Maybe a Vampire will fall in love with the love of his immortal life, or a Zombie will find love despite being a walking dead. Who knows what's in store for a Halloween release, but you can believe a short story is working it's way out.

What do you love about Halloween? I really want to know!

Cevin Harpster is in his residency year to obtain his M.D. He's looking forward to his new life after graduation, where he will open his own practice and marry his high school sweetheart.

When Cevin suddenly starts dreaming of a beautiful woman he can't help but wonder if he may be going insane, as she seduces him night after night, taking him to heights of ecstasy he never knew he longed for. As the dreams become more frequent, his sex drive rockets and his fiance', Sam finds Cevin's new desire for experimenting enticing, even if a bit rough, when his sexual experiences from his dreams are used on her.

Weird things continue to happen in Cevin's dreams, when he learns that this mysterious woman actually exists, and he is meant to be her mate and lead a pack of wolves he never imagined to be real.
When dreams and reality collide...someone always gets burned.

  5. I've always loved Halloween, especially after I had my son. He was born the day before Halloween so we got to celebrate both every year with a costume birthday party. He will be 18 this year and he doesn't want to do that anymore! I still get to dress up with my daughter, who just turned 10 this month. Hopefully she doesn't outgrow our Halloween dress up time together for a few more years!

  7. I get a charge out of the lack of pressure of the season. Okay, and the awesome collection of candy. The kids coming around is always fun- I'm at Grandpa stage, and have tons of great memories taking my own kids around years ago.
