Q: Tell us a little about THE BRIDESMAID'S BEST MAN
This is a Harlequin Blaze and it offers readers a red-hot read. It also has a hint of mystery, where someone is bumping off the bridesmaids one by one. Our heroine, Angie, is a bridesmaid and she needs to help her ex-boyfriend in finding the culprit. However, she believes her ex dumped her because she wasn't sexy enough. Now they have to pretend to have a wild reunion so they can attend the wedding events as a couple.
Q: Why did you make the heroine a reluctant bridesmaid?
Angie discovers that being a bridesmaid is hazardous to your health. Not only does she have to deal with a Bridezilla, but in this bridal party, thebridesmaids are dropping like flies.
Also, Angie is a tomboy kind of heroine. She feels more comfortable with the guys and I wanted her to be a fish out of water. She is surrounded by glamorous, ultra-feminine women and it brings out a lot of her insecurities.
Q: What was the spark for this book?
I had this story idea in my head for a long time. It wasn't the romance that sparked the idea, but the mystery element. I was at a wedding and saw this row of bridesmaids and the women almost looked alike. I thought they would make for a difficult police line-up. I also thought they could cause a problem for anyone who needed to knock off one of the bridesmaids. That's when I knew I had my story.
It turns out that spark isn't the focus of the story. It is first and foremost a romance.
Q: Why did you choose to make the hero a detective?
I love a Harlequin Blaze hero. They usually have the role as protector--in their jobs or in their character traits--and that is one thing I really like in my romance hero. I made Cole a private investigator whose mission is to reunite families. He wants to find the truth but Angie's safety is always top priority.

Every bachelorette party has a surprise…
Angie Lawson is in Bridesmaid Hell—if Hell was a strip club filled with screaming women in stilettos. But her night's about to get a whole lot worse. Now her ex-boyfriend is standing right in front of her—every sexy, delicious inch of him—and Cole Foster isn't the kind of guy that any woman can just ignore….
Cole's working undercover, but he certainly wasn't expecting the intimate reminder of the wicked heat that he and Angie always shared. But when the maid of honor—silver stilettos and all—is knocked unconscious, Cole realizes he needs Angie's help to get into the bridal party. And if getting there means getting her in bed, too, then he's definitely the best man for the job!
