Movie star running from her life.
Secret writer of erotic romance.

Trusts only Layne O’Connor of the Heaven Hill MC.

When Jessica Shea fears that her privacy is in danger, she takes the drastic step to leave her life behind and escape to the only person who’s never treated her like the movie star she is. He’s the one person who’s never sold a story to the tabloids and who knows the real Jessica, the one underneath the makeup and high-gloss shine of Hollywood.

Their friendship has stood the test of time. Now, someone has stolen private photos and writings from her home. Things that she doesn’t want the public at large to see. There’s only one place she knows she can go to be under the radar and lick her wounds.

That place is wherever Layne O’Connor is.

War Veteran.
Striving to live a normal life.
Member of the Heaven Hill MC.

Layne left a piece of himself in the war zone. Fighting PTSD and demons that he can’t explain has left him tired and changed from the man he was before he went overseas.

The only thing he feels like he excels at anymore is being a criminal, and he gladly does it for his brothers of the Heaven Hill MC. The only people who took him in when no one else knew what to make of his anger and

When Jessica arrives, however, she’s a trigger for everything he’s trying to forget. She makes him remember who he was before his life went to hell, she makes him want to get himself back. While working through those issues, he and Jessica are racing against an unknown enemy—someone who wants to destroy her reputation and take her sweetheart persona with it.

As they both work to trust each other and figure out just who her enemies are, they learn that love is never easy. They have to decide if the victory is worth the battle.

This is another favorite series of mine. Liked Layne and Jessica together. Enjoyed their story although my heart ached for Layne through most of the book. Loved the flashbacks from when they were together before he was deployed. So happy to read more of Liam and Denise and Tyler and Meredith. Oh...Tyler and Meredith~I'm a little nervous about what Laramie has in store for them. I hate to see them struggle since they have been through so much already. Can't wait for more.

Jason knows what he wants out of life, even if he can't see it.
Like most people, Jason's looking for that elusive happily-ever-after. But although he's good-looking, athletic, funny and charming--he's starting to realize that his white cane isn't exactly a chick magnet. When he meets Heather, he can't believe such a sweet, smart, beautiful woman is falling for him. Best of all, she doesn't seem bothered by his occasional run-in with a low-hanging tree branch or inability to color coordinate. They soon become inseparable. But as they begin to negotiate their life together, they encounter obstacles even his white cane can't navigate.
While Jason's dreams seem to be slipping from his grasp, he's forced to face his insecurities and accept who he is...and maybe see things more clearly than ever before.
Love in Sight is a novel about coming to terms with what you can live with and what you can't live without.
Holly Gilliatt is a new-to-me author and I'm so looking forward to reading more from her. Jason and Heather's story was so much more than I expected. This was such a heartwarming and emotional read for me and it was hard at times to read Jason and Heather struggle with his blindness. I loved Jason's character so much and felt so sorry for the things that happened to him. He wasn't an alpha badass but just a genuinely nice guy~he was funny, smart and charming. They were such a fun couple and I was rooting so hard for them to find their HEA. So Good!! I only wish there had been an epilogue.

There was something that happened that totally shocked me as I was so not expecting it. And I have to say that it KILLED me. UGH...I so wish that Holly hadn't gone that way. Especially because of how it affected Jason. So sad.

So....I really enjoyed the story and definitely recommend it. Thanks Holly for writing a story that entertained me with characters that felt so real to me with their struggles and had me so involved in them and their story from the very beginning. Didn't want to see it end.

Oh...I almost forgot...I LOVED LOVED LOVED the prologue. Jason just about melted my heart.

Lily Hayes is a beautiful 3rd grade teacher who enjoys her job very much, and has an amazing best friend who keeps her entertained. The only problem in Lily's life is that she always dates lame, boring, passionless men. No one has ever brought her any adventure. No one gives her excitement, and after being cheated on by her last boyfriend, Lily is ready for a change.

A change is exactly what she finds when she meets Kelvin Carter Jr. Kelvin is everything Lily wants in a man: sexy, passionate, spontaneous, attractive, powerful, and the best sex she has ever had. He is perfect. But perfection comes with a price. Kelvin may be exactly what Lily is looking for, but he is also a branch on a Chicago mob's family tree and the son of a notorious mob boss.

When the couple commences a heart-pounding, overwhelmingly sensual relationship, Lily must decide what she desires more; love and satisfaction, or her own safety
This was a hard book for me to rate. It had things that I liked, disliked and confused me but overall the things that I liked far outweighed the things that I didn't. I really did like Kelvin and Lily as a couple and I'm interested enough in their relationship to read the next book. The prologue confused me because I thought the story was going one way and it totally went another. But it did make sense towards the end when the things that happened in the prologue where explained.

One of the things that threw me off was that the story was written mainly from Lily's POV with a bit of Kelvin's. Since the author is a man, I was wondering why he didn't write from Kelvin's POV instead. I think this is where I had a little disconnect with the characters. I wanted to feel more from them~especially Lily. I liked them but I didn't love them. I do have to say that W.S. can definitely write some HOT sex scenes. ;)

So...a good read that has me interested enough to be looking forward to the next book, especially after reading a little sneak peek on the author's website.

Blog Tour: Invisible by L.A. Remenicky...

Title: Invisible
Author: L.A. Remenicky
Release date: January 31st, 2014
Genre: Romantic Suspense

They found each other. Then the killer found them.
Detective Jackson “Jax” McKenna walks into a psychologist’s office and finds that the doctor bears a striking resemblance to his first love, Lainie, who disappeared ten years ago after their disastrous first date ended in violence.
Dr. Elizabeth Parker is really Elaine Wilson, Jax’s Lainie. She’s been in hiding since the night that changed both their lives. Jax discovers the truth when the killer lets Lainie know he’s found her. When Jax and Lainie go into hiding to keep Lainie safe, old feelings resurface as the killer threatens their lives. Can Jax save Lainie and help her stay Invisible?

The name on the file folder, J. McKenna, gave me a chill. He was wounded in the line of duty, shot by a bank robbery suspect. Seeing the name reminded me of where I came from and why I was in hiding. I pushed the memories down. I’m not that person anymore. That person doesn’t exist. It wasn’t necessary to touch the locket underneath my sweater as a reminder, but it had become a nervous habit. The locket was the only thing I kept from that life.
The door opened, and Sheila showed my patient in and as my eyes met his, my heart stopped for what seemed like hours. After reading the file, I was afraid of this. How many Jackson McKennas could there be? The hair is shorter, and the face is older, but it’s him, I would know those eyes anywhere. Jackson McKenna. He was my first love and indirectly the reason I have to use a cane to walk farther than across the room.
I cleared my throat and stood, reaching out to shake his hand as I would with any new patient, hoping he didn’t recognize me.
“I’m Dr. Parker. Please make yourself comfortable, Officer McKenna, and we can get started.”
When I realized his right arm was in a sling, I dropped mine back to my side. I picked up my notepad and pen, hoping he didn’t see the way my hands were shaking.
“It’s actually Detective, not Officer.”
He sat on the couch across from me and looked at me with those hazel eyes that have haunted my dreams for ten years, and then he shook his head.
“You remind me of someone I used to know a long time ago.”

About BREAKING AWAY....

BREAKING AWAY is a story of loss, healing, and love… where unexpected turns and heartache lead to passion.
To Nashville Assassins’ leading scoring center Phillip Anderson, playing hockey has always been easy… as natural as breathing. His life is no different. That’s until his world is turned upside down by the death of his sister. While mourning his loss, Phillip has to find a way to make his very angry sixteen-year-old niece, Claire, happy. Now, as her guardian, he discovers the only thing that seems to heal her lonely heart is dance class. But what he didn’t count on was the attraction he’d feel towards her drop-dead sexy dance teacher.

For Reese Allen, dancing has always been part of her soul. After having her heart broken in New York, she comes home with the determination to make her dance studio one of the best in Tennessee and succeeds. When she sees Claire dance for the first time, she knows the girl is bound for greatness and takes the troubled teen under her wing. Using dance as therapy, she suddenly finds herself bound to the young woman… and her hot-as-sin uncle.

However, Phillip and Reese are happy in their single lives. It’s simple. They do what they want, who they want, and how they want, but from the moment they meet, the attraction is undeniable. Soon, they are more than willing to spend just one night tangled in the sheets. But, one night turns into two, and two turns into three, until they find themselves in a repeated dance of “One Last Time” that has the potential to be something more… if only Reese and Claire allow it.

Can Phillip find a way to thaw the hearts of both the women in his life, or will he be forever trying to break them away from their pasts?

Reviewed: Dungeon Royale by Lexi Blake...Top Pick...

18333744

Broken by betrayal, one woman holds the secret to his redemption…
An agent broken
MI6 agent Damon Knight prided himself on always being in control. His missions were executed with cold, calculating precision. His club, The Garden, was run with an equally ordered and detached decadence. But his perfect world was shattered by one bullet, fired from the gun of his former partner. That betrayal almost cost him his life and ruined his career. His handlers want him to retire, threatening to revoke his license to kill if he doesn’t drop his obsession with a shadowy organization called The Collective. To earn their trust, he has to prove himself on a unique assignment with an equally unusual partner.
A woman tempted
Penelope Cash has spent her whole life wanting more. More passion. More adventure. But duty has forced her to live a quiet life. Her only excitement is watching the agents of MI6 as they save England and the world. Despite her training, she’s only an analyst. The closest she is allowed to danger and intrigue is in her dreams, which are often filled with one Damon Knight. But everything changes when the woman assigned to pose as Damon’s submissive on his latest mission is incapacitated. Penny is suddenly faced with a decision. Stay in her safe little world or risk her life and her heart for Queen and country.
An enemy revealed
With the McKay-Taggart team at their side, Damon and Penny hunt an international terrorist across the great cities of Northern Europe. Playing the part of her Master, Damon begins to learn that under Penny’s mousy exterior is a passionate submissive, one who just might lay claim to his cold heart. But when Damon’s true enemy is brought out of the shadows, it might be Penny who pays the ultimate price.
Lexi Blake is one of my favorite authors. Honestly, there is not a book that I have read from her under Lexi Blake or Sophie Oak that I didn't love and look forward to more. I cannot get enough of her writing. Her stories are everything that I love about reading. They are a mixture of laughter, romance, tears and some of the hottest sex that I have ever read. I think that she makes me laugh more than any other author. She pulls me in to these fantastic worlds through the characters she creates that keep me so involved and rooting for their HEAs. Her books are so much fun to read and I can't wait for the next one.

I was so happy to read that Lexi was continuing on with The Masters and Mercenaries series. It's one of my favorites and I was worried that Ian's book was the last and I wasn't ready to be done with McKay-Taggart just yet.  Dungeon Royal was a great addition to the series. Lexi brought back some of my favorites and added a few new characters that I already want to read more about.  Ian and Charlie continue to be one of my favorite couples. He is so funny with the things he says and the way he acts. And I love how he is with Charlie and how she so totally gives back as good as she gets with him. They are so great together. Jake was so cute and funny with having to leave Serena and the new baby behind with Adam.  Missed Liam and Avery but hoping to see them in the next book.  Oh...and I can't wait for the next book~Simon and Chelsea...that is going to be so good!! Oh...and how could I forget Jesse (cracked me up that Ian calls him PTSD) cannot wait to see what Lexi has in mind for his story as well as Simon's cousins and the new addition of Brody~so much to look forward to.

Dungeon Royale is the story of Damon and Penelope. Just loved them together. Damon was a piece of work. He was a total alpha male but he could be so sweet with Penelope when he wasn't being a complete asshat. lol  Penelope has to be one of my favorite heroines. She was so smart, sweet and caring and I loved how she grew into so much more with the confidence she gained from Damon. I loved that she was able to hold her own with him and how she finally was able to read more into what he was actually saying to her. She understood him better than anyone. There were a few moments between them that I found myself with tears in my eyes and they definitely started a fire on my Kindle. ;)  Hoping to read more of them in future books.

Just a great read that I enjoyed so much. Love this cover!!
