Review: Harper's Little Spitfire by Angel Steel...

**************SPOILERS****************

Harper's Little SpitfireHarper's Little Spitfire by Angel Steel
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

UGH..this story killed me!! That ending...WTH!?!? I'm a big fan of ménage stories and this was my first read from Angel Steel. This story took a direction that totally shocked me ~ I was definitely not expecting the way that it ended.

Supposedly Logan, Caleb, Zeb and Mac have been in LOVE with Sage since she was 15 years old but never acted on it until now when they couldn't hold back their feeling for her anymore. Lots and lots and lots of pantie soaking sex ensued with tattooed and pierced HOTTIES!! lol ;)
The story started out great but then the ménage fell apart and the ending left me confused and annoyed!

Mac was just an ass to Sage all the way up until the end and even then his excuse for his actions towards her wasn't good enough to satisfy me fully. Sage felt she couldn't trust him so they ended up as just friends, at least for right now. Not what I expected but I was okay with that. But there is still the mystery surrounding his strange behavior towards everyone that was left unanswered.

Caleb and Logan were fine~all accept that scene with Sarah at the club at the end. But that was explained and Sage forgave them. So in the end it was Logan, Caleb and Sage ~ the 5 person ménage down to only 3. I was fine with this as I loved Caleb and Logan but I was missing Zeb.

I was the most confused about Zeb's disappearance from the group. I totally did not get this as he was all over Sage right up until the end. It was never discussed that he didn't want to be with Sage anymore. And the ending smacked me in the face. WTH?! He has been going after Sage's sister?? I totally didn't get this part. The sister doesn't know he was with Sage and he doesn't know that she is Sage's sister?? So I was left wondering if he LOVED Sage so much, why isn't he with her and Caleb and Logan and WTH is he doing messing with the sister. I didn't like this at all because I actually really liked Zeb, Caleb, Logan and Sage together.

Then there is the other mystery with how Sage's friend keeps disappearing and won't tell anyone why she suddenly up and leaves or skips out on things.

And the most unanswered question of them all is: Who did Sage's sister see in the truck and what where they doing??

I had no idea that this was part of a series and I can't find out any information as to when the next book is coming out.

The story was good and there was a HEA or a HFN but just not the one that I anticipated. The ending left me confused and annoyed and having to change my panties. lol ;)

(I want to make clear that the story was good and definitely entertained me but I gave it the 3 star rating because I just didn't like the direction the story took and definitely didn't like the ending.)

Review: Connor (SEAL Team Seven) by Jordan Silver...3 out of 5 rating...

Connor (SEAL Team Seven, #1)Connor by Jordan Silver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Big fan of Jordan Silver. Connor was a good start to the series and I'm interested to read the stories of the remaining 6 not so ex-soldiers. Especially considering how this book ended ~ it was more like a HFN.

Now...I liked Connor and Danielle and I had no problem with anything that happened in their relationship right up to the part where Connor lost his mind over the scene between Danielle and Robert. I HATED HATED HATED the way he treated her after this for something that wasn't that big of a deal at all. But it's just a book and if this happened in real life I would hope that Danielle would tell Connor to go F#@K himself and then leave him. lol It was hard for me to like him after this even though he did buy her that HUGE ring!! lol I am crossing my fingers that they do get their HEA in the next book.

When ex SEAL Connor Malone and his six brothers in arms inherit a plot of land in the small Georgia town they decide it's just what they need to fulfill their dream of staying together stateside. The seven men have lived hard and fought harder all their lives and now all they're looking forward to is a life of ease running the construction company they've started together. Connor isn't really looking to settle down with any one woman. During his years in service he and his brothers made a pact never to get hitched while they were signed up. But now he's stateside and the young and genteel Danielle Dupree has set her sights on the rough and rugged Connor and no matter what he does he can't seem to shake her. So he does the only thing left for him to do, he takes her. But can the well bred southern belle and the street kid turned soldier find a balance?

Review: Nomad Kind of Love by Nicole Snow...3 out of 5 rating...

Nomad Kind of Love (Prairie Devils MC #2)Nomad Kind of Love by Nicole Snow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

First I wanted to thank Nicole Snow for contacting me with the opportunity to read and review Nomad Kind of Love. Nicole is a new-to-me author and I have a tiny obsession with MC romances so I was all in. Plus the covers made my eyes happy...all the muscles and tattoos...very nice!! ;)

Nomad Kind of Love is the second book in this series and although each book can be read as a stand alone, I wanted to get a feel for this series so I actually read Outlaw Kind of Love(book 1) first. Book 1 with Jack/Throttle and Rachel was well written but it was just an ok read for me. I was disappointed because I had seen a lot of great reviews but it just didn't grab me and I had trouble connecting with the characters and story.

I was hoping for a better result with Nomad Kind of Love and Maverick and June and I got it. Still I didn't fall in LOVE with this book like I was hoping but I connected with the story and H/h so much more and I actually liked Throttle and Rachel more in this book too.

I Loved the opening..."To find a knight, first you need a dragon. My dragon came in columns of snorting engines and leather jackets emblazoned with a roaring bear. It reeked motor oil, cheap tobacco, and hard violence from every savage nook and cranny. It arrived on the morning of my eighteenth birthday, the day everything I knew and loved was burned to cinders, including my soul. Rather than becoming a bright young woman, I became a dark shadow. Lost. Forever broken. Emotionally murdered. They ruined me and made me believe I was wrecked beyond redemption. They infected me with their evil and I waited for it to finish me. Inevitable, right? I thought so, but then I met him..." How freaking awesome of an opening is that?? It sucked me right in.

June got on my nerves a little but after all she had to suffer and endure I really did feel bad for her. She was so strong to have survived as long as she did under those conditions. I liked how Maverick was so patient with her and didn't give up on her even when she was being a total bitch to him and everyone else in the club. I also liked how he protected her and helped her get revenge. When June finally stopped giving Maverick a hard time I really liked them together as a couple and the sex between them burned up my Kindle. lol ;)

So, I liked Nomad Kind of Love. It entertained me, melted my panties and kept me interested enough that I want to continue on to Savage Kind of Love with Blaze (Maverick's brother) and Shelly. It also made me a fan of Nicole Snow.

Copy provided by author~thank you so much!!

June Daniels watched helplessly as the Grizzlies Motorcycle Club destroyed everything she ever cared about. The ruthless gang controls her shattered life, condemning her to darkness without end...until she meets him.
Aaron “Maverick” Sturm doesn't know what it means to settle down. The President of the Prairie Devils Nomads charter is way too hardened, untamable, and dominant for any old lady.
But when he's sent West to establish a new charter, the beautiful woman he takes as collateral from the Grizzlies upends everything. Instincts Aaron never knew existed start to rage, primal desires to love and protect her in his bed, on his bike, and in his heart.
This bad boy loves a challenge. Claiming broken, mysterious June is his fiercest ever.
She can't forsake her need for vengeance on the Grizzlies. He can't let go, even when giving her what she needs most brings savage politics and blood war between MCs.
Will June find love and justice with her outlaw savior – or will her bitter determination ruin the man she loves and his club?
Note: this is a dark and gritty MC romance with language, violence, and love scenes as hard and raw as they come. Outlaw love takes no prisoners!

Review: When Day Breaks by Maya Banks...3 out of 5 rating...

When Day Breaks (KGI, #9)When Day Breaks by Maya Banks
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I am a HUGE fan of Maya Banks and of this series. It's one of my favorites. I have been waiting for Swanny's book since first reading about him. I wanted him to get his woman and his HEA. So I was so excited that his book was finally released.

I LOVED the beginning and I LOVED the ending but the in between was just ok for me. I don't know what happened but the story just didn't keep my attention and I hate saying that because I LOVE Swanny and I loved the idea of Eden and him together so much. I also loved that they got together so fast without a lot of drama. So I'm not sure where I lost the love for this story.

I loved the part with Sam and Garrett each holding their babies. *sigh*

I'm hoping to read more about Eden's 2 brothers (Raid and Ryker). And I am always interested in where Maya is going with Hancock. Hoping he will get a book of his own as well.

So although it wasn't my favorite of the series it was still a well written story that has me looking forward to more in the series.

Review: Ravage Me by Ryan Michele...

Ravage Me (Ravage MC, #1)Ravage Me by Ryan Michele
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is my first read from Ryan Michele so I wasn't sure what to expect. I actually liked that Cruz and Princess got together as fast as they did. Princess was such a tough bitch that I needed Cruz to soften her because I was having a hard time with her character. She basically acted like a man, I think she was tougher than some of the other male characters in the story. lol She definitely grew on me although some of the things she did really shocked me. lol The first time she got on her motorcycle after being released from prison and also when her and Cruz actually fought each other in the ring. I wasn't sure how I felt about Cruz hitting her~still on the fence with that even though I understood why he did it. Oh...and how could I forget what she did to Rocky. Usually I would be all over Cruz but for me Princess totally took over the book.

So I liked the story and I'm definitely interested in what happens going forward as the ending was a total shocker to me. I'm looking forward to G.T. and Casey. I liked G.T. in the beginning but then he turned into a total douche bag. lol I wanted to read their book first and then come back and read about Cruz and Princess but I'm glad I didn't.

I'm undecided as to the rating. I'm stuck between a 3 or 4. I'm going to think about it more and see if I change my mind after reading book #2.

Reviewed: Claiming Carter by W.S. Greer...3 out of 5 rating...

Lily Hayes is a beautiful 3rd grade teacher who enjoys her job very much, and has an amazing best friend who keeps her entertained. The only problem in Lily's life is that she always dates lame, boring, passionless men. No one has ever brought her any adventure. No one gives her excitement, and after being cheated on by her last boyfriend, Lily is ready for a change.

A change is exactly what she finds when she meets Kelvin Carter Jr. Kelvin is everything Lily wants in a man: sexy, passionate, spontaneous, attractive, powerful, and the best sex she has ever had. He is perfect. But perfection comes with a price. Kelvin may be exactly what Lily is looking for, but he is also a branch on a Chicago mob's family tree and the son of a notorious mob boss.

When the couple commences a heart-pounding, overwhelmingly sensual relationship, Lily must decide what she desires more; love and satisfaction, or her own safety
This was a hard book for me to rate. It had things that I liked, disliked and confused me but overall the things that I liked far outweighed the things that I didn't. I really did like Kelvin and Lily as a couple and I'm interested enough in their relationship to read the next book. The prologue confused me because I thought the story was going one way and it totally went another. But it did make sense towards the end when the things that happened in the prologue where explained.

One of the things that threw me off was that the story was written mainly from Lily's POV with a bit of Kelvin's. Since the author is a man, I was wondering why he didn't write from Kelvin's POV instead. I think this is where I had a little disconnect with the characters. I wanted to feel more from them~especially Lily. I liked them but I didn't love them. I do have to say that W.S. can definitely write some HOT sex scenes. ;)

So...a good read that has me interested enough to be looking forward to the next book, especially after reading a little sneak peek on the author's website.

Review: A Tigers' Claim by Lia Davis...3 out of 5 rating...

A Tiger's Claim (Ashwood Falls, #1)
As the Alpha’s only daughter Shayna Andrews has always been treated like a rare gem, protected like royalty, and she’s suffocating. Her longing to be independent has driven her to sneak out one evening after dinner. After relishing in being able to run free without an escort, she finds herself face-to-face with the enemy, miles from home, and nearly loses her life until a lone wolf comes to her aid.

Travis Hunter’s main objective is to destroy the Onyx Pack—a group of drug using, murdering rogue shifters. His seek-and-destroy plans are put on hold when he rescues a female from a brutal attack. The beautifully exotic tiger shifter, Shayna, stirs a passion he thought died with his long-lost mate.

When Shay’s first heat cycle slams into her, Travis has no choice but to submit to her needs—and his own. But there is always a price to sleeping with the Pack princess. Not only will he have to face her Pack, Shay and Travis will now have to deal with that fact that their mating is beyond a simple night and could have consequences more than either of them had thought. And when Travis finds out Shay wears the enemy’s brand, things will go from bad to worse.

Warning: One alpha female who doesn't take no for an answer, a wolf with more on the line than just his heart, and a combustible attraction that's sure to cause more than one sweaty night.
Shay caught my attention in Winter Eve and I was hoping that she would get her own story.  Shay and Travis were so cute together especially with Josie.  I liked how Travis instantly knew that Shay was his mate but it took Shay a little longer to accept it. I also liked how easily Shay and Josie formed a bond together. It was so funny how afraid Shay was of introducing Travis to Keegan and Blaine.

A Tigers' claim was a good read and even though I enjoyed it, I had trouble connecting with the characters (except for Blaine and Cam) in the way that I wanted to. I didn't feel like they drew me into the story enough. I liked them and was interested in their HEA but wasn't in LOVE with them like I wanted to be. I am hoping that changes in Cam and Blaine's book. I cannot wait to read their story.

Reviewed: Coming Home by Paloma Beck...3 out of 5 rating...

Coming Home
Rachel Porter, a romance writer, has told her three sons tales of finding their true soul mate since they were just boys. She lives with the belief that there is but one match for every person. Now as men, they have yet to discover their soul mates. That is, until they come home…

When a family tragedy brings Ryan back to his family’s rural home, he meets Tyra. She just might be the catalyst for the change he needs, redirecting the course of his life. But first he must accept his relationship with his parents and embrace Tyra’s secrets.
This is a great cover!! This is the first book that I have read by Paloma Beck and it certainly won't be the last. Coming Home was another book that caught my attention due to the theme of the series~A romance writing mother tells her 3 sons tales of each finding their true soul mate since they were boys and that there is but one match for every person. Coming Home is the story of the oldest son~Ryan.

I thought that this was a great start to a promising new series. I can't wait for Henry and especially Davis to get their stories told!! I loved how Tyra and Ryan met. She was such a fun character and I loved how she went after what she wanted in Ryan. This was definitely a sexy read. Tyra and Ryan burned up the pages or in this case my Kindle!! lol :)  Layne was so cute and I loved Ryan's easy and loving acceptance of her. Henry was also so adorable with her and I loved the friendship he shared with Tyra.

A fun, easy, sweet, sexy read that definitely pulled on the heartstrings!! Such lovable and interesting characters that had me rooting for their HEA and for their mom's tales to be true. Along with the romance and HOT sex there was also laughter and tears. I thought it was so cute that Tyra practically fell in love with Ryan before she ever met him from just hearing stories about him and seeing his picture. Henry and Ryan always getting into fights cracked me up. I liked Ryan's character but thought that he definitely acted like an ass~hat on more than one occasion to not only Tyra but also to Henry.  Davis was a character that definitely got my attention. I have a feeling that he is going to have one hell of a story and I cannot wait to learn more about the woman who is able to steal his heart.

So overall an entertaining and enjoyable read that definitely has me interested in more. Henry's book is next and from the blurb it sounds like it is going to be a good one. I will definitely be looking for more from Paloma.       3 out of 5 rating.
