The Boom is real!

Now available!
Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/1TRbaVd
Barnes & Noble: http://bit.ly/1QNOL4n

Blurb
June Mayson and Evan Barrister’s whirlwind courtship resulted in a secret marriage right before he left for boot camp. Evan knows deep in his gut that June is too good for him, but after getting a taste of the beautiful life they can have together, he’s unwilling to let her go. June promises to wait for him, knowing neither time or distance will ever change her feelings for Evan—that is until she’s served with divorce papers while he’s overseas and she’s forced to let him go.
Her marriage and divorce a well-kept secret, the last person June expects to run into when she moves back to her hometown is Evan. Angry over the past, she does everything within her power to ignore the pull she feels whenever he is near. But how can she ignore the pain she sees every time their eyes meet? How can she fight the need to soothe him even if she knows she’s liable to get hurt once again?
Is it possible for June and Evan to find their way back to each other again? Or will they be stopped by an outside force before they ever have a shot?

Excerpt 1
Seeing Evan again is taking a toll on me, I can’t sleep and my mind is in a constant state of turmoil. I wake up in the middle of the night from dreams of us. The memories of him, of us are too much. Some memories have the ability to heal. The ability to light up the dark because the beauty of the memory is so bright you’re still able to bask in it.
But the memories of us are killing me slowly. They remind me that for one moment I had everything while reminding me it’s gone. It’s the realization that we’re done that’s killing me. The realization that I can see him but can’t touch him that he exist but he’s not mine is agonizing.

My Review:

I have to say that Until June was the book that I had been wanting the most since reading Until July.  I loved the whole concept of their story and couldn't wait to get my greedy little hands on it. ;)

I'm a HUGE fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds...she is one of my go to authors. I love her characters and the worlds she creates and I find myself getting lost inside of them and never wanting to leave.

Oh...Evan and June. So much hurt for both of them in the beginning but so much love also. You could feel their emotions jump off the pages. I so wanted them to work through what happened and get to their HEA.

This was such a great story that sucked me in from the beginning. Evan and June where everything that I hoped and more.

Evan's character broke my heart. The way he saw himself and the things that he did. *cries* When he told her that he didn't want to get her dirty and that he wasn't good enough for her..UGH...the feels.

I loved the way that once Evan saw things more clearly he went about winning June back. Not that he had to fight that hard but he did have to earn back her trust and fix what he had broken inside her. He did an awesome job. He was patient but determined...strong but sweet...and so damn sexy. I loved when he kept telling her that he had enough love for both of them. *sigh*

I loved getting to see my favorite characters from past books. Asher and November will always be a favorite couple of mine. So excited for what comes next in this series and can't wait for Until Sage.

I think that so far June and Evan are my favorite couple in the Until Her and Until Him series.

June has some great moments with Asher that melted my heart.

So good!!

**ARC obtained for review.  Thank you so much for the opportunity... it was my pleasure.

A slice of the past that shows up on their doorstep, turning their world upside down with a life-altering plea.

A dash of passion.

A pinch of heartache.

Mix together in a large bowl, creating a difficult choice, a testing of one’s faith, and a man who will do anything to protect his family—even if it means accepting a decision that could result in losing the one he loves most.

Bake at 350° for a rich serving of life with a love that could withstand anything. Even the unthinkable.

A timeless recipe that is sure to fill your heart with a generous helping of sweet love.

***
This is a longer length novella that follows Sawyer and Grace’s journey after Sweet Temptation, book two in the Men of Honor series. It is told in dual POV, has an HEA, and no cliffhanger. Sweet Temptation should be read prior to this novella. It is recommended to read the other books in both the Men of Honor series and the Acts of Honor series as all the characters play recurring roles. However it’s not necessary.

Warning: Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

Excerpt

“What are you doin’ here?” I ask, licking my suddenly dry lips.

“I came here for you. We have some things to discuss.”

Uh oh… My pulse races for a whole other reason now. Does he know about my visit at the hospital today?

“Like what?” I whisper.

“Like this.” Hooking an arm around my neck, he yanks me against him then claims my lips in a heated caress.

My fingers curl in his shirt, a blissful sigh escaping me as he suddenly makes everything in my world right again.

A growl vibrates from him just before he picks me up off my feet, letting them dangle inches off the ground. My arms encircle his neck and I cling to him, absorbing his warmth.

“Too long, Cupcake,” he groans against my lips. “Been too fucking long without this.” He blows through the swinging door to the kitchen and sets me on the island. His large, warm hands slip under my skirt and run up my thighs to grip my hips. I suck in precious air as his mouth moves to the tender flesh of my throat. “No more, Grace. You hear me? You’re my wife, which means I get your taste, your body, and your heart every fucking day. You belong to me.”

My Review:

As I write this review I'm laughing to myself  because of all the scenarios my crazy mind thought up as to what Sweet Love was about that DEFINITELY wasn't it!!! OMG!!!

I've loved the relationship between Sawyer and Grace from the beginning and I was so excited to be getting more of them along with the sweet addition of Parker and Hope. To read them interacting as a family brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart. Loving Sawyer and Grace individually was nothing compared to loving them as a couple and then as a family. They have a relationship that most only dream about. You can feel their love for one another pour off the pages. Parker and Hope where adorable. So sweet and funny. I loved the mother~daughter bond as well as the mother~son bond between them and Grace.

It was interesting to read how Grace and Sawyer handled such a difficult situation. I'm not sure I could have handled it as well as Grace did. She had almost an impossible choice to make under so much pressure with not a whole lot of time to do it in. Sawyer *sigh* I truly felt for him. I loved how even though he disagreed with Grace's decision in the beginning, he still supported her and gave her the love and strength that she needed most from him. He protected her and his family and I think I fell even more in love with him for it. Especially the tender way he cared for Grace after everything was done. So Good!!

I'm a HUGE fan of K.C. Lynn and with each new book that continues to grow. I have no idea how she thinks up these characters and stories...but I'm forever grateful that she does!!

***

This is book three in the Acts Of Honor series, the spin-off series to Men Of Honor. Kolan and Sophie’s story is told in dual POV, has an HEA with no cliffhanger, and can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading prior books in both series, as characters play recurring roles throughout.

Review: Corrupted by Alexis Noelle...Top Pick...

CorruptedCorrupted by Alexis Noelle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars **Top Pick**

Wow...I was so not expecting this story. It started off a little slow because Lucy was only 14 but the story picked up quickly as Lucy aged to 18 within the first several chapters. I loved Jordan but Lucy was the real star of this book. I wasn't prepared for the brutality of what happened to her and it crushed me. But the way Jordan supported her and the way she was able to slowly move on made me love her even more. I was not ready for their story to end and could have continued to read more about them. I'm hoping to get more of Jordan and Lucy in the next book about Twisted. So excited for his book!! There were a lot of characters that I'm hoping will get their stories told. (Tracie, Danny, Shooter, Torch, etc.) This was my first Alexis Noelle read and she has gained a HUGE fan in me.

She is being hunted.
Prey left defenseless.
She needs to hide.
They cannot find her.
They will kill her if they do.

When Lucy decided to run, she didn’t know where to go. They were coming for her. She needed protection, but she had no one to help her. Until she came across the warehouse of the Deathstalkers MC and begged them for protection. Now she owes them her life and her loyalty. Her family will never end their search for her; she is a piece of property that needs to be recovered at any cost necessary. For Lucy, there are worse things than needing to hide for the rest of her life, being found is one of those things.
Sometimes the obvious evils aren’t the ones you need to fear.

*Disclaimer - The book is not recommended to readers sensitive to graphic depictions of violence. This book is not suitable for persons under 18 years of age.*

Review: The Score (Off-Campus #3) by Elle Kennedy...

The Score (Off-Campus, #3)The Score by Elle Kennedy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars **TOP PICK**

This is one of my favorite series and I have been waiting for Dean's story since the first book. Dean turned out to be so much more than I had hoped. My disappointment that his heroine was not Sabrina ended as soon as Allie appeared. Just loved her and Dean together. I had forgotten exactly who Allie was.

This story had everything that I love about reading. So good!! What a sneaky little author Elle is. That ending shocked the sh*t out of me!! lol I cannot wait for Tuck's book!!! So excited. Also hoping to see all my favorite characters again. Not ready to let them go just yet.

There was only one part that I absolutely HATED and it screwed me up. I cannot believe that Elle went that way with a certain character. I was totally not expecting it and not at all prepared for the grief of what happened. I had been secretly hoping that he would get his own book in the series and was crushed that it would not be happening now.

Review: Counter To My Intelligence (The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC #7) by Lani Lynn Vale...Top Pick...

Counter To My Intelligence (The Heroes of The Dixie Wardens MC, #7)Counter To My Intelligence by Lani Lynn Vale
My rating: 5 of 5 stars / Top Pick

This is one of my favorite series and has been since the start. I fell in love with the addition of each new hero and heroine as the series continued. Silas *sigh* I've been waiting for his story probably the most out of all the Dixie Wardens MC. There is just something about him that caught my attention from the start.

Aside from that HOT HOT HOT cover, a favorite theme of mine is older male/younger female so this story couldn't come fast enough for me.

One of the things that I loved the most between Silas and Sawyer is that their age difference was never really a factor for them or anyone else. With that much of an age gap it's usually obsessed over by the H/h and the people around them. I was so happy that Lani did make this an obstacle between them. I also loved how easy they got together. They didn't fight the attraction they had for one another. There wasn't any real drama/angst between them. With all the struggles and hardships that they each individually endured it was great to read them not struggling in forming a relationship. They were perfect for each other.

I was surprised how much Sawyer grabbed my attention from the opening pages. What she endured was heartbreaking. I loved that Silas was always there for her and wanted to help and support her. He was exactly what she needed.

The sex between these two fogged up my Kindle!! ;) My favorite has to be the garage scene. Oh...the shower scene right before that also. ;) lol

Loved the epilogue!! So good!! Lani Lynn Vale is a master with her epilogues. Only a few write them as well as she does.

I cannot wait for Ruthie and Sterling next!! I was so excited to read that Ruthie was getting her own story. I'm so looking forward to their HEA. I'm also hoping to get more of Silas and Sawyer in their book along with the rest of the Dixie Warden MC.

Such a great story and another awesome addition to an already awesome series. Definitely makes me want to go back and reread the series from the beginning.

Silas *sigh* He definitely didn't disappoint.

Book Spotlight: Mouth To Mouth by Erin McCarthy...One of my FAVORITES!!...

This is one of my FAVORITE books. The heroine is deaf and the hero is a cop...Sooo Good!!!

IN LOVE, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A SIMPLE PLAN

Rule #1: Cops maintain their distance.

It was supposed to be your average stakeout. My partner and I would scope out both the coffee shop and Laurel Wilkins, the latest target of con man Trevor Dean's scheme to meet women online and bilk them of their money-and everything else.

Rule #2: Cops think fast on their feet.

So I went inside to get a better look. So she happened to be gorgeous with a body that made me temporarily forget how to order coffee. So she knew my name-Russ Evans-and hugged me like we were more than friends. So what the $#@ is going on?

Rule #3: Cops never, ever get involved.

At least she's willing to offer herself up as bait. All I have to do is keep her safe-and keep my hands off. Anything else would be against the rules. And oh so tempting...

“Then he was forming letters again, one at a time on her back, while Laurel clung to him, full of heart and body, still joined to him intimately. Wanting his words, needing them, moved profoundly by them.

I love you.

One letter after the other, until they were all there, telling her everything she needed to know here in the dark.”

Reviewed: Double Tap by Lani Lynn Vale...Top Pick...

Nico met the love of his life when he was seventeen.

Immediately, he realizes that the gap in their ages is too significant to make a move on her until she’s legal in the eyes of the law. So he joins the United States Navy, killing time until he can come home to her again.

But a tragedy strikes while Georgia is alone and vulnerable, and with no other recourse, Georgia leaves, disappearing without a trace.

After months of searching, he finds her, but quickly realizes that she needs the time to herself to work out her problems on her own.

So he leaves her be, knowing that if she ever felt anything for him, she’d come back home to him.

But it takes her years to return, and in those years, Nico changes, too.

He’s seen too much. Done too much. Lost too much.

He lives his life as a SWAT officer for KPD, goes through the motions of everyday life, but only as half a man. And not even the good half. The US military saw to that.

When the two finally come back together, one question remains. Will she love him as the man he is now, or leave him because he’s not the same man he used to be?

Read...Re-read...Re-read Again...This is my favorite Lani Lynn Vale book and definitely one of the best books that I've read this year.

This was such a great story. Was it all sunshine and rainbows? No. It was sad and heartbreaking. Nico and Georgia both experienced unimaginable things in their pasts that had shaped who both characters were today.

"They say I have a mild case of PTSD. One that doesn't really make itself known until it's the dark of night." Georgia to Nico

"We can compare notes on PTSD. 'Cause, in all honesty, I have enough PTSD to share with just about everyone in the Kilgore area and still have some to spare." Nico to Georgia

"I'm not the same girl, Diablo."

"I'm not the same man, niña."

Oh, I just wanted to hug these two. lol

I fell hard for Nico and Georgia right from the beginning. Their relationship drew me in. I LOVED how they loved each other. Without trying to sound too cheesy, they really did complete each other. There was no one else for either of them. *sigh*

So happy to see some of my favorite characters ~ cannot wait for Downy's book next!!! I also was so interested in Georgia's brothers and am crossing my fingers that each of them may get their own books.

I couldn't leave without saying that Nico was SEXY AS HELL and him and Georgia together fogged up my Kindle Fire. lol ;) Oh...that epilogue...so sweet. Lani is one of a very few authors that writes an amazing epilogue.

Thanks Lani for writing such a great story and letting me return to visit with these characters that I have grown to love so much.

Current Obsession: Double Tapped by Lani Lynn Vale...Top Pick...

I am so in love with Nico & Georgia. This is definitely my favorite book from Lani and it's also one of the best books I have read this year!! I started rereading as soon as I finished the epilogue.

Review: Sweet Fall (Sweet Home, #3) by Tillie Cole...

Sweet Fall (Sweet Home, #3)Sweet Fall by Tillie Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a great series ~ cannot get enough of these characters. I love Rome and Molly but I'm CRAZY over Austin and Lexi. He calls her Pix *sigh* This is definitely my favorite of the series. There is just something about their story that captured me instantly and I never wanted it to end. Oh...the last couple chapters and then the epilogue just about did me in. Soooo Good!!! If I already hadn't loved this story ~ I would have just from the ending alone. I felt bad for Austin for the hand he was dealt in life as well as for his brothers and especially for his poor mom. But what really got me was Lexi's story. It opened my eyes to a disease that I never really gave much thought to before. It was so hard to read her struggle through it. I don't think that I ever wanted a character to get their HEA as much as I did Lexi. I LOVED how Austin and Lexi found a home in each other and brought Levi along. :) Just a great book and definitely one of my favorite reads. Looking forward to Sweet Hope. Review Tour & Giveaway: You and Everything After (Falling, #2) by Ginger Scott...Top Pick...

We're celebrating the release of You and Everything After by Ginger Scott!

I was so excited to read You and Everything After as I totally fell in love with Ty and Cass in This Is Falling  and couldn't wait for their story. I knew it was going to be good and I was not disappointed.

One of the themes in books that I love is the "imperfect" hero/heroine. Whether it's the wounded soldier or in this case wheelchair bound Ty and MS stricken Cass, it's impossible for these type of characters to not touch my heart in some way with their struggles toward a HEA. I always love when the hero and heroine can find the peace and support and love that they need in each other. When they can grow as a couple and also as individuals because of these things. Ty and Cass were perfect for each other. She only ever saw him, not his chair, and he only ever saw her, not her MS. I loved that Ty didn't even blink when Cass told him about her MS and instead went about convincing her to go for what she most wanted with his help.

The relationship between Ty and Nate drew me in once again and entertained me so much. Their banter was so funny. I could just feel the special bond they shared along with the true friendship that existed between them. Their love and admiration for each other was so heartwarming and was one of my favorite things.

There was a lot of laughter in this book from the hilarious pranks they all pulled on each other to Ty just being Ty, I found myself laughing out loud more than once.

I found the relationship between Cass and her parents, especially her dad, very interesting. Cass saw her parents a certain way because of their response to situations that happened with her. But in reality her dad was just trying to protect her the best way he could. His acceptance of her seeing him as the bad guy because he thought that's what she needed just showed how much he really loved her. Her poor dad.

I really felt for Ty and his struggle with what happened to him. His relationship with Kelly broke my heart but I wanted him with Cass. He was so sweet and funny with Cass. Totally different than Nate~in the best way. The Prom and beach parts where some of my favorites. I was so relieved when he finally told Cass about Kelly. Oh...and the watch~UGH!!

Ginger Scott won me over with This Is Falling and has continued to impress me with You and Everything After. She definitely gained a HUGE fan in me with this series and I cannot wait for Paige and Houston!!

I’m that teenaged girl who has MS.
You haven’t met me, but you’ve seen me around. You probably know my sister. We’re twins, and she’s the pretty one. Maybe you’ve heard about my reputation, how much I like to hook up at parties—how easy it is to get me in bed, get what you want, and forget about me after. Forget what you think you know. I’m leaving that girl behind. College is all about new beginnings. So from now on—I’m just Cass. And the rest…it isn’t written yet. And no one else gets to write my story for me.
--------
“Tyson Preeter doesn’t do can’t.”

That’s exactly what I want people to think when they see me. I am strong, invincible, confident, intelligent—arrogant. I’m the man who always finds a way around, over and through—until there’s nothing left. Since losing my ability to walk six years ago, I’ve relearned life. I don’t need sympathy. I don’t want charity. And I don’t do love. It’s better this way, saves my disappointments for me, and me alone, and it saves my strength for everything I want.

But Cass Owens is about to wreck everything. She’s about to steal all of my strength away from me, because she needs it more. She’s about to break all of my rules, and break down all of my walls. She’s about to own me…completely.

And I’m about to let her.
