Reviewed: Savage Redemption by Alexis Morgan...

Savage Redemption
Just when he's getting his life back on track, the woman responsible for ruining it arrives—in jeopardy—on his doorstep. When gunfire erupts just outside the gates of the O'Day estate, chief of security Conlan Shea is first on the scene. With bared fangs, the half vampire, half human gently turns the wounded victim over only to find himself staring into the exquisite turquoise eyes of the woman who ripped his heart out three years ago.
Kat Karr. The name still evokes such turmoil. One night of fierce passion had cost Conlan his life, his job and his heart. Now she's back, injured and desperate for help. Kat's in real danger, and Conlan is her only hope. With the enemy fast approaching, Kat is running out of time. Suddenly for Conlan, revenge doesn't seem so sweet….
Savage Redemption was my first opportunity to read Alexis Morgan. I really enjoyed this book. I was entertained from the beginning and I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Savage Redemption was filled with interesting secondary characters, that caught my attention and left me wanting more of them, a kick-ass hero and heroine, some HOT sex scenes, a few nail-biting moments and a great epilogue to wrap everything up. I am definitely going to be looking for more from Alexis Morgan. Plus, I love this cover~very sexy!! ;)

Reviewed Alone Time by Lauren Dane...

Alone Time (Visits to Petal, #1)
Visits to Petal will be bonus chapters that will accompany the print releases of all new Petal/Chase books. They’ll be continuing stories of the characters you’ve met already, just brief glimpses into their lives (and nope, not standalone). The first one will come out in September 2012, coinciding with the print release of ONCE AND AGAIN. The chapters will appear at the end of the print book and also be available in digital formats from Samhain and other bookstores!
Visits to Petal, Part 1 – ALONE TIME
It’s date night in Petal, Georgia, and Nathan, Matt and Shane have some long-awaited alone time with their women and they’re not about to let that opportunity go.
Warning: This free story is bonus material for readers of the Chase brothers and Petal, Georgia, series and is not intended to be standalone.

Thanks Lauren for allowing me to revisit my favorite characters!! I love Shane and Cassie along with Matt and Tate!! Such a great quick read!! Makes me want to reread this series from the beginning!!! The Chase Brothers were the first series that I read from Lauren Dane and made me the HUGE fan that I am of hers. After all the books that I have read, this series remains one of my favorites that I continue to reread and Lauren definitely remains one of my favorite authors. I will never stop wanting more of the Chase Brothers series anyway I can get it!!!

Reviewed: Colton Destiny by Justine Davis...

Colton Destiny
A series of kidnappings of Amish teenage girls hits too close to home for FBI agent Emma Colton. The dark violence of her world has touched the simple Amish community neighboring her hometown—and she's determined to make things right. Unfortunately, a forbidden attraction to Paradise Ridge's most eligible widower is a major step towardwrong.Carpenter Caleb Troyer doesn't expect to love again, especially an Englisher with her own haunted secrets. Protecting Emma is second nature as she fights to restore the peace in his home—and in his heart. But one false move could destroy everything. The closer she comes to finding his sister, the closer danger comes to finding them….

This is my first book from Justine Davis and it certainly will not be my last!! It feels wrong to say that I enjoyed this book considering the subject matter of the story, but I really did. I have always had a fascination with the Amish and I loved the concept of this story of a non-Amish woman and an Amish man falling in love. I loved Caleb with Emma and I was so routing for their HEA. Oh, and how could I not love Katie, Ruthie and Grace!!!  The part of the story that was difficult was reading about the abductions of the girls and in the end part of this plot is still unresolved.
I am not sure how this is going to work since the rest of the books in The Coltons Of Eden Falls series are all by different authors. I can only hope that I get to see more of Caleb and Emma throughout the series.  Aside from that, Colton Destiny was a great way to spend a couple of hours and I can't wait to read Colton's Ranch Refuge, Colton's Deep Cover, and Colton's Showdown. I will also definitely be checking out more from Justine Davis.

Reviewed: Let Me Be The One by Bella Andre...

Let Me Be The One (The Sullivans, #6)
When Vicki Bennett saved Ryan Sullivan’s life as a teenager, it was the beginning of a close friendship that never wavered despite her failed marriage to someone else and Ryan’s well-earned reputation as a ladies man. So when she suddenly needs a pretend boyfriend to protect herself and her career from a powerful man’s advances, he is the only person she can imagine asking.
Ryan will do anything to protect Vicki from harm, but when their “fake” kisses and caresses lead to an incredibly sensual night that neither of them can resist, will he have made the biggest mistake of all by irreparably jeopardizing their friendship? Or is it possible that what they’ve both been looking for has been right there the whole time…and the perfect combination of wicked and sweet, friendship and love, is finally within reach?

I absolutely love this series and Bella Andre. Can't wait for Smith's book next!! Loved Ryan's book~so good!! I love returning to the world of the Sullivans~I get pulled into the stories every time and hate when I am finished and have to leave these wonderful characters behind.
So far my favorites of the series are still Marcus&Nicola and Sophie&Jake!! 4 out of 5 rating.

Lusting for Covers: Drive Me Wild by Christine Warren...

Lusting for Covers is a weekly meme, held on Sunday, that allows bloggers to share their current cover obsession with fellow book lovers.

Choose your own book cover that you've fallen in "lust" with in the past week. It can be new, old, a reprint, or even a book that is not yet out-- it's all up to you! If you find a cover that catches your eye, then showcase it on your blog, and let others see the pretty covers out there.

(OPTIONAL): Besides posting the picture of the book cover you chose, it's nice to provide the book summary, title, author, or a website link for the book. It's not required, but it can help you readers' to add more books to their own list! A brief "Why I choose this cover" is also appreciated, but not required.
This meme is hosted by TBQ @ TBQ's Book Palace.

Here's my candidate for the week:
November 27, 2012
Tess Menzies can work a spell with a few blinks of her baby blue eyes. But this dedicated witch can’t summon up a single good reason she’s been made an envoy between her kind and Manhattan’s fiercest were-creatures. The two sides haven’t spoken in four hundred years, and she’ll need every miracle in the book to broker any kind of truce. And that means outwitting Council of Others leader Rafael De Santos whose tantalizing moves and fierce hungry kisses are magic even a formidable sorceress can’t resist . . .
It doesn’t take a cat’s supernatural senses for Rafael to suspect that there’s something strange about this unexpected peace offering. And finding the truth is just as tempting as uncovering the secrets Tess is trying to conceal. Why, she’s tantalizing enough to make this wandering were-jaguar think he’s found the perfect mate—one he’s only dreamed of. But his stealth and her spells can’t guarantee they have a chance at survival, much less a future together…

I love this cover!! No only does he have a DROOL WORTHY body but I love his eyes and the cat in the background!! Oh, and that little bit of scruff~very sexy!!! LOL   I am a HUGE fan of shifter romances so this one appeals to me for more then just the cover. I haven't read a Christine Warren book yet and The Others is a pretty big series with this being book #7 ( but in publication order #14~a little confusing!!) of 15 books.  Comes out in November and can't wait to read. While I'm waiting, I will have to check out the rest of this series.  Has anyone read The Others series??

Now it's your turn!! What cover are you currently lusting for?

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Lusting for Covers post, or share your ‘lust’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). I would love to see the cover you choose. Thanks!
